Tenute Carrara, Northern Italian wines crafted to honor our family patriarch, Teresa Carrara Franzia. Tenute Carrara produces wines distinctive to the terroir of northern Italy. Teresa immigrated in 1893 from Genoa, Italy to America thru Ellis Island, New York and finally setting roots in Ripon, California marrying Giuseppe Franzia. Today, our familia has persevered as pioneers in the wine industry representing four generations of grape growing, environmental stewardship, winemaking with a passion for vinifera. Every cluster of grapes, is a story of the seasons, the sun and rain, to taste the diversity of the terroir in every bottle and glass.
